Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and customer satisfaction through effective team management and menu innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and control the food preparation process to ensure quality and consistency before serving customers
• Design and update menus with innovative or classic culinary creations to maintain variety and high standards
• Coordinate and arrange timely repairs of kitchen equipment to minimize disruptions
• Identify and resolve kitchen problems or defects promptly to maintain smooth operations
• Recruit, manage, and train kitchen staff to build a skilled and efficient team
• Supervise kitchen staff performance and workflow to meet operational goals
• Assess staff workload and determine appropriate compensation to optimize productivity
• Maintain accurate payroll and attendance records for kitchen personnel
• Ensure compliance with nutrition, sanitation regulations, and safety standards to uphold health requirements

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience as Head Chef demonstrating effective kitchen leadership
• Strong kitchen management skills with ability to delegate and monitor tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and motivate staff
• Up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and kitchen process optimization
• Proficiency in computer programs including MS Office, restaurant management software, and POS systems
• Valid credentials in health and safety training relevant to kitchen operations
