Role Description The Baker is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role involves preparing and baking a variety of bread and related products according to standardized recipes and production schedules. Day-to-day tasks include scaling and mixing dough, monitoring fermentation and baking times, operating industrial ovens and bakery equipment, and ensuring product consistency and quality. The Baker will also assist with food preparation, maintain hygiene and safety standards, perform basic equipment cleaning, and support continuous improvement in production efficiency. Collaboration with the production team and adherence to quality and safety protocols are essential.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Bakery operations and Baking techniques, with experience in large-scale or commercial production environments.
- Proficiency in Food Preparation, including ingredient handling, dough mixing, and temperature and time control.
- Ability to produce a range of Bread products, including healthy, high-fiber, and whole grain formulations.
- Experience with Cookies or other baked goods, with attention to texture, taste, and visual presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP or equivalent) and ability to follow SOPs and quality controls.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, handle repetitive tasks, and lift baking materials and trays safely.
- Basic math and measurement skills, with the ability to follow recipes accurately and adjust batches when needed.
- Previous experience in a bakery, food factory, or related F&B production environment; vocational or technical training in baking is an advantage.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays as required by production schedules, and to learn new methods and technologies.
