Assistant Finance Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and management reports.
- Analyze financial performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations.
- Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor departmental budgets and expenditure.
- Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Support management in financial planning and business decision-making.
- Monitor daily cash flow and banking transactions.
- Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure sufficient working capital to support operations.
- Liaise with banks on financing, banking facilities, and treasury matters.
- Monitor product costing and manufacturing costs.
- Review material, labor, and overhead variances.
- Analyze production efficiency and inventory movements.
- Support inventory valuation and periodic stock counts.
- Recommend cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Companies Act, and LHDN requirements.
- Coordinate corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, and e-Invoicing compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in annual statutory audits and tax submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
- Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS, taxation, costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, AutoCount, SQL Accounting, or equivalent).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
