Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SMT Engineer with strong programming capability to support Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for SMT machine programming, process optimization, and ensuring high-quality PCB assembly output in a regulated medical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and optimize SMT machine programs (e.g., pick-and-place, solder paste printing, AOI, SPI machines)
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth SMT line setup
• Troubleshoot SMT production issues related to programming, process, and equipment
• Optimize production efficiency, yield, and cycle time
• Conduct process validation and continuous improvement activities
• Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with medical device standards (ISO 13485 / GMP)
• Maintain SMT program documentation and process records
• Support preventive maintenance and calibration of SMT equipment

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
• Experience in SMT manufacturing environment (preferably medical device or EMS industry)
• Strong knowledge in SMT machine programming (e.g., Panasonic / Yamaha / Fuji / ASM / Siemens — any relevant platform)
• Able to troubleshoot SMT line issues and optimize production processes
• Understanding of PCB assembly process and electronic components
• Knowledge of AOI/SPI/placement machine programming is an advantage
• Familiar with ISO 13485 or medical manufacturing standards is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
