Responsibilities
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related discipline; (ii) the ability to work independently and under pressure; (iii) good interpersonal and communication skills; (iv) a strong quantitative background with experience in analysing epidemiological data; and (v) experience in conduct data analysis of complex datasets using SPSS, R, STATA, SAS or other statistical packages. Basic knowledge in Python and/or Matlab is preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
The research projects focus on dementia and healthy aging cohorts. We aim to investigate how clinical and imaging data interact and contribute to cognition. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) managing and analysing datasets for various research projects; (b) performing data cleaning and manipulation; (c) conducting power/sample size estimation; (d) generating tables and figures for reports and presentations; (e) writing scientific publications, grant proposals and reports; and (f) performing other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and a skill test.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
