This position supports a significant advisory mandate for a regional financial services group. At JHC Consulting, we assist board levels and executives with the scrutiny of their internal strategies. For this client, we are assessing the technical and governance implications of integrating artificial intelligence into their existing workflows. The Junior AI Implementation Specialist will help review technical documentation and draft initial assessments of how these tools influence corporate decision making. This is a fully remote role intended for a junior professional who values the discipline of the written word over the convenience of a slide deck.
The Role
In this role, your primary task is the synthesis of complex information. You will spend a significant portion of your time reading technical specifications, vendor proposals, and internal risk assessments. Your goal is to identify the logical gaps in how a company intends to deploy artificial intelligence. You will draft sections of memoranda that weigh the technical benefits of specific models against the organizational risks they might introduce. Because we do not produce presentations, your work must be clear, structured, and capable of standing alone as a written argument. Day-to-day activities include:
- Reading and summarizing technical white papers on machine learning models.
- Drafting clear, concise sections of advisory memoranda for executive clients.
- Reviewing the internal AI policies of a regional financial services group to find inconsistencies.
- Analyzing how proposed AI tools align with existing corporate governance standards.
- Comparing different technical approaches to solve specific automation problems.
- Revising written drafts through several rounds of feedback to ensure perfect clarity.
- Tracing technical claims back to their fundamental assumptions to verify accuracy.
What You Bring
We look for individuals who treat reading and writing as rigorous professional activities. You should have a foundational understanding of machine learning frameworks, likely gained through university projects or independent study. More important than your technical background is your ability to communicate complex concepts in plain English. We value a background in computer science, philosophy, economics, or another field that requires strict analytical thinking. You should be prepared to have your work scrutinized and to defend your logic in writing. Requirements include:
- A degree in a technical or highly analytical field of study.
- Basic familiarity with the logical foundations of artificial intelligence and data structures.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to construct a logical argument on paper.
- The self-discipline to manage your own schedule and tasks in a remote environment.
- The ability to read dense corporate or technical documents and find the most relevant points.
- Willingness to accept and incorporate direct feedback on your writing and analysis.
- A preference for clear, simple language over technical jargon or corporate buzzwords.
How We Work
Our firm operates on a single author model. Every document we produce is signed by the individual who conducted the analysis. This ensures a high level of accountability and encourages deep engagement with the material. We do not hide behind group consensus or vague collective language. Instead, we strive for a dissenting perspective that forces our clients to sharpen their own thinking. Every sentence in a JHC Consulting memorandum is expected to be grounded in a clear assumption or data point. We do not participate in long status meetings: the document itself serves as the record of our progress and the vehicle for our counsel.
Working at JHC Consulting
The firm is entirely remote. This structure allows for the silence and focus necessary to produce high quality written work. While we maintain a high standard for our output, we provide our team members with significant autonomy over their daily activities. The position is paid, and the compensation is competitive for the entry level market. As a junior member of the firm, you will observe how senior principals interact with board members and chief executives. This provides an unobstructed view into the highest levels of corporate decision making. We value the quiet professional who finds satisfaction in a well crafted argument rather than the ceremonies of traditional consulting.
JHC Consulting is a practice built on the longevity of our advice. Because our memoranda are often kept on file by clients for years, we prioritize accuracy and clarity over speed. When you put your name at the foot of a page, it represents your personal commitment to the truth of the analysis. This focus on individual responsibility defines our culture. We believe that by holding ourselves to this standard, we provide the most valuable counsel possible to the leaders we serve.
