About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with proven expertise in MongoDB and strong experience in the banking industry. The ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient data management to support critical banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MongoDB databases and data pipelines for banking systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement ETL/ELT processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration across platforms.
• Optimize queries, indexes, and database performance for high‑volume financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards in the banking domain.
• Support production rollouts, troubleshoot issues, and maintain documentation for data workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of experience as a Data Engineer in the banking industry.
• Strong expertise in MongoDB (schema design, performance tuning, replication, sharding).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Hands‑on experience with ETL tools and data integration frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is an advantage.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in fast‑paced, regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data warehousing and data lake architectures.
• Knowledge of banking systems such as Core Banking, ATM, or financial reporting platforms.
• Exposure to automation tools (Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar).
