Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated BESS Project Site Supervisor to oversee the on-site deployment of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating installation activities, managing contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements, securing necessary site approvals, and providing timely project progress updates. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in utility-scale or commercial & industrial (C&I) electrical projects and a passion for supporting the energy transition.

Roles & Responsibilities

Project Site Management

• Supervise daily BESS installation activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to approved engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate and monitor the performance of EPC contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and commissioning teams.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, project timelines, and HSE requirements.
• Resolve day-to-day site issues and escalate critical risks to the Project Manager.

Regulatory & Documentation

• Obtain and coordinate all necessary site permits, inspections, approvals, and authority clearances.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
• Maintain accurate records including site diaries, inspection reports, punch lists, and as-built documentation.
• Support project handover and final acceptance documentation.

Health, Safety & Quality

• Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and company safety procedures.
• Ensure all installation work complies with relevant electrical standards, utility requirements, and project quality plans.

Commissioning Support

• Coordinate system testing, commissioning activities, and performance verification.
• Support troubleshooting during energization and commissioning.
• Assist in defect rectification and project close-out activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• PW4 Certification (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) is highly preferred.
• Additional HSE certifications (NIOSH, CIDB Green Card, First Aid, etc.) are advantageous.
• Minimum 3–5 years of site supervision experience in electrical infrastructure, renewable energy, or industrial projects.
• Hands-on experience deploying Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems, battery systems, inverters and PCS, transformers and switchgear, and SCADA integration.
• Ability to interpret electrical single-line diagrams, layouts, and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with testing and commissioning procedures.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Experienced with contractor coordination and stakeholder management skills.
