Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of plant facilities and maintenance in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards. The role oversees daily facilities operations, coordinates technicians' work schedules, monitors work progress, and ensures all maintenance activities are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of plant facilities and utility systems, including:
• HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning)
• Compressed Air System (Compressors & Air Dryers)
• Building Management System (BMS) & Environmental Monitoring System (EMS)
• Electrical System
• Communication Network, CCTV & Door Access System (Card & Biometric Access)
• Cleanroom Facilities
• Water Supply & Plumbing System
• Building Maintenance
• Fire Protection Systems & Equipment
• Pest Control
• Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS), Scheduled & Non-Scheduled Waste Disposal
• Overall factory safety aspects
• Conduct routine plant inspections to ensure maintenance records, inspection checklists, and logbooks are complete and compliant.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor work schedules for technicians and contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Supervise contractors' work to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with 5S requirements upon completion.
• Respond to internal customer maintenance requests, provide updates, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support facility improvement, expansion, and renovation projects, including preparing reports, proposals, schedules, validation documents, protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and checklists.
• Prepare and maintain CAD drawings, including updating drawings to reflect specifications and as-built conditions.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment and utility system issues, perform root cause analysis, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment, sensors, and testing instrument calibration schedules, and coordinate calibration activities with external service providers.
• Coordinate cleanroom performance testing (CPT), compressed dry air performance testing, premise inspections, and other periodic recertification activities.
• Monitor inventory levels of maintenance spare parts and consumables to ensure operational readiness.
• Support the training and development of maintenance technicians by preparing training materials and monitoring training plans.
• Report abnormal conditions, deviations, and non-conformances promptly to management.
• Undertake any other duties or projects assigned by management from time to time.
• Participate in the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of applicable ISO management systems.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and support internal and external audit readiness.
• Contribute to continual improvement initiatives, including corrective and preventive actions in line with ISO requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution or university.
2. Minimum 2 years of working experience in plant facilities maintenance, preferably within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
3. Basic knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and practices.
4. Able to prepare and update CAD drawings according to specifications and as-built conditions.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
6. Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
