About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential and infrastructure projects across Australia. Working as part of a collaborative international team, you'll play a key role in the delivery of complex structural engineering projects while mentoring junior engineers, reviewing technical outputs and working directly with Australian clients. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to take the next step into a technical leadership role while continuing to work on challenging and rewarding building structures projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and documentation from concept through to construction.
• Deliver structural solutions across commercial, residential, high-rise, industrial, institutional, education, healthcare and mining support projects.
• Design reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber, masonry and aluminium structures.
• Undertake structural analysis, design calculations and engineering reports.
• Review and coordinate design documentation prepared by engineers and drafters.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and support staff.
• Manage project workloads, programme delivery and technical quality.
• Liaise directly with clients and consultants throughout project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, safety in design principles and QA/QC procedures.
• Contribute to practical, buildable and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) or equivalent.
• Master's qualification highly regarded.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience delivering building structures projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and structural design principles.
• Experience across reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry design.
• Excellent understanding of lateral stability, load paths, transfer structures and structural behaviour.
• Experience designing slabs, post-tensioned systems, foundations and precast solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with experience mentoring engineers and coordinating project delivery.
