Overview: The Divisional Manager - Operations will be responsible for the strategic direction and overall performance of the organization's operations. This role will involve developing and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive sustainable growth. The Divisional Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, and inventory management, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with the company's overall goals.
- Drive organizational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee financial performance and profitability of the operations department.
- Operations Management:
- Drive development of resource and cost management optimization plans based on the market practice and business environment
- Front development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes
- Lead high-performing teams, attract and retain talent, provide mentorship and guidance to management
- Financial Performance:
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including P&L responsibility.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive growth.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks to protect the company's assets and reputation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in 3PL logistics operations management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop teams.
- Excellent communication preferably able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, employees, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
- A deep understanding of the 3PL industry and current trends.
- Have a good understanding of the ocean shipping/international shipping business.
