Salesforce Architect
Lead technical solutioning, squad delivery, and large-scale Salesforce programs across Service Cloud, Public
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 7 years
LEVEL: Architect / Technical Lead
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Architect to lead the design and delivery of large-scale, mission-critical Salesforce solutions. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on technical leadership and squad delivery ownership — you will architect scalable solutions, guide implementation best practices, and lead a squad of developers and consultants to deliver on time and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Solutioning & Architecture
- Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions covering data model, security, automation, and integration architecture
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical designs aligned with Salesforce best practices and platform limits
- Own architectural decisions across Service Cloud, PSS, and OmniStudio implementations, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose and future-proof
- Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and enforce governance and quality standards across the squad
- Identify technical risks early and define mitigation strategies before they impact delivery
Delivery & Squad Leadership
- Lead a squad of developers, QE, designers through the full delivery lifecycle — from solution design to deployment and hypercare
- Break down complex requirements into deliverable sprints/workstreams and manage delivery timelines
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for the squad, unblocking issues and making pragmatic trade-off decisions
- Coach and mentor junior/mid-level developers on Salesforce architecture principles and coding standards
- Collaborate with Project/Delivery Managers to ensure scope, timeline, and quality stay aligned
Service Cloud & Public Sector Solutions (PSS)
- Architect and implement Service Cloud solutions including case management, omni-channel routing, knowledge management, and entitlements/SLAs
- Apply PSS-specific capabilities (e.g. Public Sector Case Management, Action Plan and etc) to government or regulated-industry use cases
- Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and audit requirements typical of public sector or highly regulated environments
OmniStudio
- Design and build OmniStudio artifacts — OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors —for guided, low-code process automation
- Establish reusable OmniStudio patterns and governance standards for scalability across projects
- Make sound build decisions between OmniStudio, Flow, and Apex/LWC based on performance, maintainability, and complexity
System Integrations
- Design and oversee integrations between Salesforce and external systems (e.g. identity providers, middleware, legacy government systems)
- Apply appropriate integration patterns — REST APIs, MuleSoft, Platform Events, external services, SCIMbased provisioning — based on volume, latency, and security needs
- Ensure integration solutions are secure, resilient, and support enterprise identity/governance requirements (e.g. External Client Apps, OAuth flows)
Large-Scale Delivery
- Bring a proven track record of successfully delivering large, complex Salesforce programs (multi-team, multi-phase, or multi-agency/multi-business-unit in scale)
- Manage technical debt and platform scalability proactively across long-running programs
- Contribute to CoE (Centre of Excellence) playbooks, architecture standards, and reusable delivery frameworks where applicable
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with demonstrated experience in an Architect or
Technical Lead capacity
- Strong expertise in Service Cloud (case management, omni-channel, knowledge, entitlements)
- Hands-on experience with Public Sector Solutions (PSS) or comparable regulated-industry Salesforce implementations
- Proven expertise in OmniStudio (OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures)
- Strong command of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and core platform architecture (security model, governor limits, sharing/visibility)
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering system integrations (REST, middleware, identity/SSO provisioning)
- Track record of leading squads/teams to deliver projects on time and within scope
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex Salesforce programs
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce certifications: Application Architect, System Architect highly regarded
- Experience with MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms
- Experience with Salesforce Shield (encryption, event monitoring)
- Experience contributing to or building a Salesforce Centre of Excellence (CoE), including governance playbooks and platform standards
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices for Salesforce (SFDX, sandbox strategy, release
management)
