Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of solid experience in Air Freight Forwarding operations, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory capacity.
(Less experience will be considered as Assistant Supervisor
Data & Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in handling and interpreting operational/freight data.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) or automated reporting is a definite advantage.
Flexibility (Shift Duty): Willing to work on rotational shifts (including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays) to support 24/7 air freight operations.
Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of air export procedures and airline booking mechanics.
Languages: Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin to communicate effectively with carriers, overseas agents, and mainland partners.
Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Shift Management: Lead and coordinate daily shift operations, ensuring all cargo consolidation, ULD building, documentation (MAWB/HAWB/Manifest),
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze daily/weekly logistics and shipment data to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as weight/volume growth, airline load factors, and transit times.
Evaluate cost structures (including airline spot rates, fuel surcharges, and terminal charges) to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Generate operational reports and dashboards to assist management in capacity forecasting and Block Space Agreement (BSA) planning.
Account & Cargo Handling: Supervise the end-to-end air freight workflow for key accounts, ensuring proper handling of diverse cargo types, including high-volume consolidated shipments and time-critical orders.
Carrier & Vendor Coordination: Maintain strong relationships and daily communication with airlines, ground handling agents, and trucking vendors to secure priority space and resolve operational issues (e.g., flight delays, off-loads).
Team Leadership: Act as the shift leader to supervise frontline operations clerks; manage workload distribution, provide on-the-job guidance, and handle real-time operational contingencies.
