Role SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design,implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale cloud solutions on MicrosoftAzure. The role is responsible for driving cloud transformation initiatives, establishingcloud architecture standards, and ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-optimizedsolutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in Azure cloudtechnologies, cloud-native architectures, security, networking, automation, andDevOps practices.Key ResponsibilitiesAzure Cloud Architecture Design end-to-end cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure services acrossIaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms. Develop cloud solution blueprints, reference architectures, and high-level/low level technical designs. Ensure architecture designs align with best practices for scalability, availability,security, reliability, and cost optimization. Define enterprise cloud architecture standards, reusable patterns, andgovernance controls.Cloud Transformation & Modernization Lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives. Drive adoption of Azure-native technologies including:o Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)o Azure App Serviceso Azure Functionso Containers & Microserviceso Serverless Computing Guide engineering teams in implementing cloud-native and DevOps solutions.[AIA - INTERNAL] Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation initiatives.Technical Leadership Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Azure cloud solutions. Provide deep technical expertise across:o Azure Compute Serviceso Azure Networkingo Azure Storageo Azure Identity & Access Managemento Azure Security Serviceso Azure DevOps Review solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure alignmentwith enterprise architecture standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud architecture and integration issues.Stakeholder Management Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, security teams, andvendors to gather technical and business requirements. Translate business needs into scalable and secure Azure solutions. Present architectural recommendations, design justifications, technical trade offs, and roadmap strategies to stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor on Azure cloud adoption and best practices.Security, Compliance & Governance Ensure Azure solutions comply with organizational security, compliance, andgovernance requirements. Implement and maintain:o Identity & Access Management (IAM)o Network security controls[AIA - INTERNAL]o Encryption standardso Azure Policy governanceo Landing zone frameworks Support cloud cost governance and optimization strategies. Ensure compliance with Malaysian regulatory and data governance standardswhere applicable.RequirementsEducation Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, orrelated discipline.Experience Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, orcloud engineering. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloudtechnologies. Proven experience designing enterprise-scale Azure cloud solutions. Experience in cloud migration and modernization initiatives. Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments is an addedadvantage.Technical Skills Strong expertise in:o Microsoft Azureo Azure Landing Zoneo Azure Virtual Network (VNet)o Azure AD / Entra IDo Azure Security Center / Defender[AIA - INTERNAL]o Azure Monitoro Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)o CI/CD pipelineso DevOps practices Strong understanding of:o Hybrid cloud architectureo Networking and securityo Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA)o Cloud governance and cost optimizationPreferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate TOGAF certification is an added advantageSoft Skills Strong communication and presentation skills Strong stakeholder and vendor management Analytical and problem-solving mindset Ability to lead technical discussions and architecture reviews Strong documentation and governance capabilities Team collaboration and mentoring skills
