1. Job description

Low Yield Analysis (LYA) Technician with hands-on experience in electrical and physical failure analysis, fault isolation, defect identification, and characterization within the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Highly observant, proactive, and driven in identifying abnormalities, failure signatures, and process excursions through electrical characterization, microscopy inspection, and advanced analytical techniques. Proficient in the use of Parametric Analyzers, Keithley Meters, TDR/iTDR, CSAM, X-ray systems, and other analytical tools to support lot disposition, yield improvement, root cause investigations, and product reliability enhancement. Analyzing and interpreting complex test data, documenting findings, and preparing accurate technical reports within established turnaround times. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Process, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering, to deliver critical LYA results and support timely decision-making. Committed to maintaining compliance with laboratory procedures, safety requirements, and equipment calibration standards to ensure reliable, repeatable, and high-quality analysis outcomes.

2. Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with semiconductor assembly and test manufacturing processes, as well as electronic packaging technologies.
• Experience in package failure analysis, low-yield analysis (LYA), or semiconductor failure investigation is an added advantage.
• Strong learning agility with the ability to quickly acquire new technical knowledge, adapt to evolving technologies, and deep dive into complex technical challenges.
• Highly observant, proactive, and aggressive in identifying abnormalities, failure signatures, and process excursions to ensure timely issue detection and resolution.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

3. Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent technical troubleshooting, fault isolation, and failure analysis capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical findings and recommendations.
• Effective networking and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Willing to take ownership of challenges, work independently when required, and support urgent analysis activities to meet business and manufacturing objectives.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
