The Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems. The role involves overseeing preventive maintenance programs, responding to maintenance requests, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance Operations

• Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and hotel equipment.
• Coordinate and carry out repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Ensure all hotel facilities are maintained in good working condition.

2. Preventive Maintenance

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Monitor maintenance records and ensure timely completion of planned maintenance activities.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify potential issues before they affect operations.

3. Team & Contractor Coordination

• Supervise maintenance technicians and outsourced contractors when assigned.
• Coordinate renovation, repair, and improvement projects with minimal disruption to guests.
• Ensure contractors comply with hotel policies and safety requirements.

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, fire safety requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain records of safety checks, maintenance activities, and equipment servicing.

5. Asset & Cost Management

• Monitor inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Assist in preparing budgets for maintenance and repair expenses.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve energy efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, or building maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, public holidays, and emergency call-outs when required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
