A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Test Engineering Engineer at MKS, lead the testing phase during the transfer of new products from international locations. Collaborate closely with overseas teams to grasp the testing design and implement the testing hardware and software in a high-volume production setting. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Test Engineering.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Review and optimize existing test procedures and develop logical steps to enhance manufacturability.
- Monitor and analyze test/product/yield performance, execute implementation schedules and product data management and report of test results to management or engineering teams.
- Proactively launch LEAN manufacturing-related projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality, safety, and cost savings thru use of 6S, Kaizen Events, Value Stream Mapping, 8 Wastes and other lean methodologies.
- Perform GR&R and correlation studies for tools and fixtures used in the assembly and test process.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior test engineers. Share your knowledge in testing methodologies, data analysis to help develop a high-performing testing team.
- Problem solving expert using tools such as Fault tree, KT, Fish Bone, PFMEA, etc. with the ability to summarize issues into clear, concise impact and recommendations.
- Experienced in RF and DC circuity testing techniques.
- Responsible for setup and maintenance of test equipment and fixtures, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Generate ECO’s as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in IE/ME/EE with 3+ years experience in high volume manufacturing environments.
- Statistical analysis, Gauge R & R, and Correlation analysis experience.
- Ability to quickly learn problem solving techniques relating to manufacturing process.
- Collaboration skills with a passion for manufacturing and operations.
- Skilled at troubleshooting electronic circuits.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Capable to effectively prioritize work tasks based on production schedules, product criticality, and resource availability. Handle multiple testing related projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of advanced testing methodologies, such as in - circuit testing (ICT), functional testing, and automated test equipment (ATE) programming.
- Ability to train and mentor production personnel.
- 10-25% domestic & international travel may be required.
