Offshore Integrity Engineer reports directly to the Senior Integrity Engineer and is responsible for delivering technical expertise in the inspection and integrity management of topside static mechanical equipment across Hibiscus Malaysia’s offshore facilities.This role is pivotal in safeguarding asset integrity, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and maintaining the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of pressure systems and related static equipment, thereby directly supporting operational excellence and risk mitigation across offshore facilities. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead and manage all offshore integrity inspection and maintenance programs, including the development and implementation of sound engineering practices for both temporary and permanent repairs, ensuring operational safety and asset reliability.
  • Critically evaluate inspection reports from in-house inspectors and third-party vendors, and generate comprehensive integrity and anomaly reports with actionable recommendations and clearly defined re-inspection intervals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset integrity records by updating equipment data and logging all integrity events and recommendations in Maximo in accordance with company procedures.
  • Oversee daily monitoring of Corrosion Inhibitor injection systems, and provide timely technical guidance to offshore chemists to optimize dosage and maintain targeted injection rates.
  • Develop and approve detailed repair procedures for static equipment, including piping systems, pressure vessels, tanks, pipelines, and heat exchangers, ensuring long-term integrity and compliance.
  • Ensure full adherence to relevant codes and standards, such as ASME VIII, API 510, ASME B31.3, and API 570, for all repair and inspection activities.
  • Conduct urgent inspections and forensic assessments of static equipment in the event of critical damage or incidents (e.g., fire, overpressure, corrosion failure).
  • Evaluate new and emerging inspection technologies, and implement proven advancements into the integrity management program to enhance inspection efficiency and diagnostic capability.
  • Actively participate in weekly Integrated Operations Plan (IOP) meetings, contributing technical insights and ensuring integrity tasks are aligned with field operations.
  • Support the development, review, and technical evaluation of long-term integrity and inspection contracts, ensuring contractor capabilities meet Hibiscus Malaysia’s operational and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualification and Education:
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification from recognized universities.
  • Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industries, including 5 years in the static equipment inspection function.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
  • Familiar with Risk Based Inspection (RBI) for static mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, structures, pipelines) and piping.
  • Well versed in the codes and standards especially related to pressure vessels and piping, such as ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, API 510 and API 570.
  • Well versed in welding inspection.
  • Result-oriented, with a proper appreciation of the need to meet targets and deliver commitments.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Training and Certification:
  • Certified API 510 and / or API 570 Inspector.
  • Certified welding inspector will be preferred.
