Job Summary
Support the Branch in ensuring compliance with Customs and other government agencies’ regulations by managing shipping permits, certifications, documentation, and reporting to facilitate smooth import and export operations.
Responsibilities
- Declare all types of shipping permits accurately to comply with customs regulations
- Apply for Ordinary and Preferential Certification of Origin (PCO) to support trade compliance
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather and verify supporting documents for customs entry declarations using pre-customs entry checklists, Asia Customs SOP, and pre-alert database
- Respond promptly to customs enquiries and secure necessary permit approvals
- Monitor and ensure timely submission of Cargo Manifest Declarations reports to Singapore Customs for import and export transactions
- Create and maintain accurate files and prepare billing invoices to ensure timely and precise customer billing
- Generate essential customer and internal reports as required to support operational transparency
- Update Asia Customs SOP to reflect customers’ requirements and expectations for continuous process improvement
- Adhere strictly to company policies and compliance standards in all customs-related activities
- Maintain and update Branch procedures on customs entry declarations to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Meet Key Performance Indicators aligned with customer requirements and Singapore Customs regulations
- Perform internal audits on customs filings to ensure compliance and accuracy
Required competencies and certifications
- Knowledge of Singapore Customs local rules and regulations and successful completion of the Singapore Customs test
- Proficient use of SIN Customs TradeNet system and company customs systems to declare customs entries accurately
- Ability to declare all types of customs entry declarations and permit types
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum tertiary education with 3 to 5 years’ relevant air freight operations experience
- Proficient in computer software applications including email, Microsoft Excel, and Word
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written English
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive, positive attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels to achieve company objectives

Working Hours
5 days work week with rotating shift hours
1. 08:30 - 18:00 hrs
2. 12:00 - 21:30 hrs
3. 14:00 - 23:30 hrs
