Role Description This is a contract, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Occupational Therapist will assess workers’ functional abilities, work environments, and job demands to identify risks and recommend appropriate interventions. Daily tasks include conducting ergonomic and functional assessments, designing and implementing rehabilitation and return-to-work programs, and providing individualized therapy plans to support safe and sustainable job performance. The role involves collaborating with physicians, OSH specialists, HR, and management teams, documenting clinical findings, and preparing reports that support workplace health and safety initiatives. The Occupational Therapist will also educate employees and employers on injury prevention, safe work practices, and overall occupational health promotion.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and deliver work-focused therapy and return-to-work programs.
  • Knowledge of Medicine and Occupational Health principles relevant to workplace injuries, ergonomics, and functional capacity evaluation.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear documentation, report writing, and the ability to counsel and educate workers and stakeholders.
  • Experience or interest in Pediatrics for cases involving younger workers or dependents, where applicable.
  • Recognized degree in Occupational Therapy and current professional registration or eligibility to practice in Malaysia.
  • Experience in occupational health, industrial or clinical rehabilitation settings is an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and adapt to diverse industrial environments.
  • Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to client safety and confidentiality.
