MISC Internship Program
Title: HR Transformation Intern
Department: Practice Team
Division: Human Resource Division
Purpose
To provide students with practical exposure within the HR Transformation and Practice Team function. Interns will support HR process improvement, policy simplification, and transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and employee experience. The internship offers hands-on experience in HR operations, process redesign, policy management, and organizational transformation projects.
Interns will learn and be exposed to:
- HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
- HR process mapping, redesign, and standardization methodologies
- HR policy review, simplification, and governance practices
- Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation
- Stakeholder engagement and requirement gathering techniques
- Change management, communication planning, and project coordination
- Data analysis, reporting, and presentation of recommendations to management
Specific Responsibilities
1. HR Process Improvement & Transformation
- Support the review and mapping of existing HR processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in redesigning and standardizing HR workflows to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Document process flows, SOPs, and transformation recommendations.
2. HR Policy Review & Documentation
- Assist in reviewing, simplifying, and standardizing HR policies and guidelines for better clarity and consistency.
- Support benchmarking exercises against industry leading practices and internal requirements.
- Help maintain policy documents and supporting reference materials.
3. Project Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support stakeholder discussions, workshops, and interviews to gather feedback and business requirements.
- Assist in tracking project milestones, action items, and deliverables for HR transformation initiatives.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials for management updates and change management activities.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Degree in:
- Human Resource Management
- Business Administration
- Industrial Engineering
- Organizational Development
- Management
- Or related fields
- CGPA: Minimum 3.00
Additional Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) will be an added advantage
- Interest in HR transformation, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
