Job Summary

Lead and supervise technicians and contractors to maintain large chilled water plants and HVAC systems, ensuring operational reliability and customer satisfaction through effective troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of technicians and manage contractors to execute maintenance activities efficiently
• Support daily operations of large-scale chilled water plants and HVAC systems to ensure continuous functionality
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) for Air Handling Units (AHU), Fan Coil Units (FCU), and associated chilled water systems
• Develop and implement work plans including purchase requisitions, contractor selection and evaluation, maintenance scheduling, and cost management
• Perform frontline troubleshooting of airside systems such as AHU, FCU, chilled water control valves, actuators, sensors, pumps, and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) to resolve faults promptly
• Attend to operational faults, customer complaints, alarms, and system abnormalities, conducting root cause analysis as needed
• Ensure system availability, reliability, and service delivery targets are consistently met
• Arrange, supervise, and follow up on corrective maintenance and breakdown repairs to minimize downtime
• Liaise and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure safe and effective maintenance and repair works
• Provide frontline technical support to customers by attending site meetings and addressing operational and air conditioning issues
• Review service and maintenance reports, escalating recurring or critical issues to appropriate stakeholders
• Support the implementation of energy-efficient operating practices during daily operations and maintenance activities
• Ensure all work complies with company safety procedures and site requirements to maintain a safe working environment
• Support operational reporting and documentation as required by customers

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in operations and maintenance of large chilled water plants
• Hands-on experience with chilled water systems in commercial, industrial, or utility environments
• Practical knowledge of chilled water distribution to airside systems
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC and ACMV system faults independently
• Comfortable working frontline with customers and site stakeholders
• Strong safety mindset and proactive problem-solving approach
