Job Purpose

The UIUX Designer is responsible for designing intuitive and user-centric digital experiences for the Bank’s web and mobile platforms. The role includes conducting user research, creating wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs using Figma, maintaining the Bank’s design system, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver accessible, consistent and customer-focused digital solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and deliver intuitive, engaging and user-centric digital experiences across the Bank’s web, mobile banking and digital platforms.
• Translate business requirements and customer needs into effective UX solutions, user journeys and interface designs.
• Conduct user research, competitor analysis and usability testing to identify customer pain points and improve digital experiences.
• Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma.
• Develop interactive prototypes and design concepts to communicate user experience solutions effectively to stakeholders and development teams.
• Create, maintain and enhance the Bank’s design system, including components, patterns, guidelines and design libraries to ensure consistency across platforms.
• Apply UI design principles including layout, typography, colour, visual hierarchy, accessibility and responsive design.
• Ensure digital products comply with usability standards, accessibility guidelines and the Bank’s branding requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Technology teams and business stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Work within Agile/Scrum environments to support design delivery, sprint activities and continuous improvement.
• Conduct design reviews and provide UX recommendations to improve product usability and customer satisfaction.
• Analyse user feedback, digital analytics and customer insights to identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Ensure seamless and secure customer journeys across digital banking experiences, including onboarding, authentication, payments and transactional flows.
• Stay updated with emerging UX trends, digital banking innovations, AI-assisted design tools and industry best practices.
• Advocate for customer experience and embed user-centred design principles across the organisation.
• Strong customer-centric mindset with a passion for creating meaningful and impactful digital experiences.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and adaptable, with a continuous learning mindset and willingness to embrace new technologies, trends and design practices.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in UX/UI Design, Design Thinking, Human-Centred Design, or Digital Product Design would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in UX/UI Design, Product Design, Digital Experience Design, or a related role.
• Experience designing customer-facing digital products such as mobile applications, internet banking platforms, websites, or digital service portals.
• Prior experience in the banking, financial services, fintech, or highly regulated industries would be an added advantage.
