Job Description

We are seeking a Senior API & Data Integration Engineer to join our growing Data Analytics & Insights team. This role will focus on developing and maintaining API-driven integrations and scalable data pipelines to enable seamless data exchange between external platforms, internal systems, and our analytics environment. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to build reliable, scalable solutions using Python, Snowflake, and AWS, with GitLab for source control and CI/CD. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving integration challenges, working with evolving business requirements, and improving systems beyond simply completing assigned tasks. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, and proactive in identifying better ways to build and maintain data infrastructure. You should be comfortable working independently, handling ambiguity, and contributing ideas that improve scalability, reliability, and data accessibility across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain API-based integrations with external platforms, third-party systems, and internal applications

• Design and develop internal APIs that enable data exchange across business and enterprise systems

• Build and support scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, Snowflake, and CI/CD best practices

• Ensure data quality and integrity through validation, monitoring, error handling, and troubleshooting

• Collaborate with analysts, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand evolving data and integration requirements

• Create and maintain API documentation and integration specifications

• Identify opportunities to improve integration architecture, automate workflows, and enhance reliability and scalability

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in API development, data integration, backend engineering, or data engineering

• Strong Python programming skills, SQL, and database design experience

• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python web frameworks

• Experience integrating with third-party APIs and handling authentication, rate limits, and error management

• Experience building and deploying applications on AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, API Gateway) and working with CI/CD pipelines

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
