Job Summary: Assist in day-to-day operations of the internal test lab. Provide technical advice/ support to internal and external customers. Good in evaluation and qualifies electronic components.

Responsibilities

1. Review and approve the work performed by lab technicians. (Xray . XRF, Electrical Test, Baking and etc)

2. Provide continual training and mentorship of lab technicians.

3. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and internal QOP’s.

4. Keep current on the latest in electronic component anti-counterfeiting avoidance techniques.

5. Periodic review of internal lab equipment and processes for latest technologies and make proposal to management of findings.

6. Review and respond to all internal and external technical inquiries.

7. Analyze and compare findings for acceptance or rejection of electronic components based on test results and provide recommendation to management.

8. Ensure the lab equipment is properly calibration and maintained.

9. Ensure that the Quality system and inspection procedures are reviewed and updated to reflect the latest requirements.

10. Provide support analyzing 3rd party test reports and failure analysis.

11. Attend and support customer visits and meetings for technical advicet.

12. Develop electrical test plans, perform electrical and failure analysis testing.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical and/or component engineering with a strong background experience in semiconductor or any electronics industry.

2. Two years’ experience in authenticating electronic components through destructive and non-destructive means; with Optical Microscope, XRF, X- Ray equipment, Decapsulation & Solderability etc.

3. Two years’ Experience in functional and bench electrical testing using test apparatus (E.g., LCR meter, Oscilloscope, DMM,). with a wide array knowledge in various electronic components for fit, form & function validation.

4. Prior Failure Analysis experience is strongly preferred.

5. Knowledge of IS17025, AS9120, AS6081, AS5553, AS6171, JEDEC and RoHS requirements is an advantage.

6. Knowledge in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) component handling and workstation requirements is required.

7. Strong computer skills with a demonstrated proficiency with Word and Excel.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9. OEM/EMS exposure is highly desired.
