Exciting opportunity for a Application Operations Engineer role with a leading global organization (BFSI Domain)

Role Scope

Drive CI/CD and DevOps transformation by designing, automating, and optimizing application deployment processes. Act as the DevOps automation expert, enabling faster, more reliable releases while improving operational efficiency and promoting DevOps best practices across development, security, and operations teams.




Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with Development, Operations, and Security teams to streamline delivery processes.
• Drive DevOps adoption, automation initiatives, and continuous service improvement.
• Develop tools and solutions to reduce manual effort and operational costs.
• Maintain deployment frameworks, workflows, and operational standards.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, training, and mentoring.
• Support production operations through rotational shifts and on-call coverage.
• Manage and improve team knowledge repositories and documentation
  
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, CI/CD Automation Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with deployment automation and orchestration.
• Expertise in Linux/Unix administration, scripting, and automation; basic Windows scripting and Active Directory knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Docker, TFS/Azure DevOps, and Selenium.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, Agile delivery, and enterprise DevOps transformation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, and driving DevOps culture.
• ITIL knowledge preferred; banking or financial services experience is a plus.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts and participate in on-call support.
