Job Role

Exentec Services Malaysia is seeking a talented and motivated Construction Site Supervisor to support the successful execution of Semiconductor Tool Install (TI) projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supervising site activities within semiconductor fabs or cleanroom environments, with a strong understanding of Tool Install, equipment hook-up, and construction coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities for semiconductor Tool Install projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
• Ensure installation activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, work methods, and client requirements.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Hook-Up, and facility interface activities with project engineers and construction managers.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure strict compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and cleanroom protocols.
• Monitor site progress, identify potential issues, and escalate concerns to the Project Engineer or Construction Manager with recommended solutions.
• Verify materials, equipment, and manpower are available to support scheduled work activities.
• Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and quality documentation.
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning, punch list closure, and project handover activities.
• Foster a positive safety culture and maintain high standards of housekeeping across the worksite.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of site supervision experience in industrial, semiconductor, or high-tech construction projects.
• Experience in Semiconductor Tool Install projects is highly preferred.
• Experience working in semiconductor fabs or cleanroom environments is a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of construction methods, equipment installation, utility hook-up, and multidisciplinary site coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and quality control procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation.
• Willing to work on-site in Bayan Lepas, Penang, and support project schedules when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising Tool Install, equipment hook-up, or facility upgrade projects within semiconductor manufacturing plants.
• Familiarity with cleanroom work practices and permit-to-work systems.
• Certification in site safety or construction supervision is an added advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
