Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver construction projects within approved budgets, timelines and project objectives.
- Coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, main contractors, subcontractors and project teams.
- Plan and schedule project activities and allocate machinery, materials and manpower effectively.
- Monitor project performance, productivity, cost and resource utilisation.
- Ensure progress claims and supporting documents are submitted on time and follow up on payment collection.
- Prepare accurate project financial reports and work-related reports, including work progress reports, method statements, risk assessments, safe work procedures, equipment reports and site reports.
- Ensure proper handover of projects from the tender stage to the project execution team.
- Review and understand contract terms and conditions and manage variation order processes where required.
- Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Ensure HSEQ programmes and initiatives are implemented at project sites.
- Promote a strong safety and quality culture across the project team.
- Manage and develop direct reports through coaching, engagement and performance feedback.
- Ensure site personnel comply with company policies, procedures and site discipline requirements.
- Support project completion, including obtaining completion certification and final account documentation.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant construction project management experience.
- Experience in ground improvement works, including grouting and/or deep soil mixing, is required.
- Experience managing project budgets, contracts, schedules and site resources.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and construction law will be advantageous.
- Valid Construction Safety Course for Project Managers or Supervise Construction Work for WSH certification is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable spending significant time at construction sites and working outdoors.
- Candidates with stronger experience managing ground improvement projects may be considered for the Project Manager position.
