• Maintain constant surveillance of guests in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the events of emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required till the arrival of emergency medical services
• Ensure PPE (personal protection equipment) is being used when performing First Aid on guest
• Prepare and maintain appropriate incident reports
• Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of guest service
• Ensure that the Pool Environment is kept clean and well-maintained
• Maintain a high standard for the appearance and cleanliness of the pool, the pool deck area, and the turnstiles
• Work closely with Pools & Recreation Management team and other related departments to ensure guests’ requests are followed through
• Be conversant with closure operations process during inclement weather conditions
• Be conversant with all facets of the Pools & Recreation operations including fire safety and emergency related procedures
• Monitor activities in the SkyPark and report any suspicious characters, items or/and activities to the Manager
• Be aware of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) and practice safety guideline
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
• Secondary education preferred
• Basic lifesaving 1 to 3 certificate
• Bronze Medallion certificate
Other Prerequisites
• Willing to work various shifts, including mornings and afternoons, as well as on public holidays
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
• Knowledge of CPR & emergency medical procedures
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Good command of spoken and written English for communicating with guests and reporting purposes
• Well-groomed and professional disposition
