About the Role

Mobius Arena is seeking passionate, energetic and committed Associate Coaches who are excited by the opportunity to inspire the next generation through martial arts and movement education.

This role combines high-quality martial arts instruction with positive youth development. As an Associate Coach, you will help students build confidence, discipline, resilience and physical literacy through structured, engaging and age-appropriate training.

Whether working with young children taking their first steps into martial arts or supporting more experienced students on their grading and competition journeys, you will play an important role in shaping both technical skills and personal character.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, engaging and enjoyable martial arts and movement-based lessons under the guidance of the Head Coach and senior coaching team.
• Teach and reinforce fundamental martial arts techniques, movement skills and physical conditioning appropriate to students' age and ability.
• Foster an inclusive, values-based learning environment founded on respect, discipline, resilience and continuous improvement.
• Encourage positive behaviours, teamwork, sportsmanship and self-confidence.
• Monitor students' progress and provide constructive encouragement and feedback.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's development, strengths and areas for improvement.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised training environment.
• Support academy events, grading exercises, competitions and community outreach activities where required.

Essential

• Genuine passion for teaching and mentoring children and young people.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude, professionalism and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to work weekends.

Highly Desirable

• Demonstrated training and competency in one or more martial arts.
• Experience coaching martial arts, combat sports or movement-based programmes.
• Diploma or qualifications in Physical Education, Sport Science, Early Childhood Education or related disciplines.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
