Our client is a leading global energy company undergoing large-scale digital transformation initiatives across its enterprise technology landscape. As part of its global SAP transformation programme, the organization is seeking experienced SAP Data Migration Specialists (S2P / MM) to support SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA deployment initiatives, ensuring high-quality data readiness and successful SAP deployment across international business operations.
Working Hours: Supporting UK/US Region (4:00 PM / 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM / 2:00 AM, Malaysia Time, GMT+8) - Hybrid Working Arrangement
Team Collaboration: You will be joining an established SAP project team based in Kuala Lumpur, providing opportunities for on-site collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Job Responsibilities
- Support and drive SAP data migration activities for SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA deployment projects.
- Ensure procurement or materials management data is ready for migration through data readiness, cleansing, validation, and transformation activities.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate project deliverables while breaking down work into manageable tasks and managing multiple project workstreams.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with project governance standards and methodologies.
- Provide functional expertise in either Source-to-Pay (S2P) or Materials Management (MM) to support SAP deployment projects.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, support, challenge, and advise project members on procurement or materials management data-related issues.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and project delivery.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and provide guidance on SAP data migration activities and best practices.
- Ensure end-to-end procurement or materials management data flows are accurate, complete, and aligned with business requirements.
- Prepare project documentation, migration reports, and status updates to support project governance.
- Work closely with local and global teams to deliver SAP deployment milestones within agreed timelines.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA deployment initiatives with a focus on data readiness, transformation, or SAP data migration.
- Proven experience delivering or supporting SAP data migration projects within Source-to-Pay (S2P), Materials Management (MM), Procurement, or Supply Chain environments.
- Experience handling multiple projects concurrently while working with complex cross-functional teams.
- Strong background in project planning, scheduling, and breaking down project deliverables into manageable tasks.
- Skilled in project governance, risk management, and issue resolution.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in one of the following functional areas: Source-to-Pay (S2P), including Source-to-Contract, Order-to-Receipt, and Invoice-to-Pay; or Materials Management (MM), including Inventory Management (IM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
- Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement or materials management data flows.
- Hands-on experience in data cleansing and transformation activities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Tools & Technology
- SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA
- Microsoft Ecosystem (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Azure DevOps (nice to have but not compulsory)
