Position Summary
The Environmental Engineer supports the implementation and continuous improvement of the Company's Environmental Management System (EMS) across its oil and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Company's Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Provide environmental support for operations, maintenance, projects and shutdown activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits and company requirements.
- Participate in environmental risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Support Management of Change (MOC) and review environmental aspects of engineering and operational activities.
- Prepare environmental reports and maintain relevant records.
- Work closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, HSE and project teams to promote environmental compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or another relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of environmental management experience within the oil and gas or related process industry.
- Good understanding of environmental regulations, environmental management systems and sustainable operations.
- Experience in environmental compliance, permitting, waste management, emissions monitoring and environmental reporting.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Knowledge of applicable environmental legislation and industry standards.
- Strong analytical, communication and technical report-writing skills.
- Able to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate their responsibilities and achievements in previous environmental management roles.
- Primary work location will be Kuala Lumpur, with the ability to travel for job-related assignments within East and West Malaysia.
