Position Summary
The Process Safety Management Engineer will support the implementation and maintenance of the Company’s Process Safety Management system across its oil and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide process safety support to operations, maintenance, shutdown and project activities.
- Support the implementation and improvement of the Process Safety Management system.
- Participate in process safety reviews, risk assessments and Management of Change activities.
- Support process safety incident investigations, audits and assurance activities.
- Review relevant technical documents and support the close-out of process safety findings and actions.
- Work with operations, engineering, maintenance, HSE and project teams on process safety matters.
- Prepare process safety reports, records and presentations as required.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum Eight (8) years of relevant Process Safety Management experience within the oil and gas or related process industry.
- Good understanding of Process Safety Management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical, communication and technical report-writing skills.
- Able to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate their actual responsibilities and deliverables in previous Process Safety Management roles.
- Primary work location will be Kuala Lumpur, with the ability to travel for job-related assignments within East and West Malaysia.
