Job Description & Requirements

1. Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects

2. Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products

3. Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by engineers and architects

4. Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software

5. Draft and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components and devices.

6. Produce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications

7. Assist and coordinate with designers and engineers.

8. Prepare drawings for sheet metal components.

9. Prepare drawings and diagrams for electrical devices and installations.

10. Collaborate with designers and sub-constructors on the projects.

11. Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision

12. Compile data and specifications sheets.

13. Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.

14. Accommodate safety procedures and issues in installation and construction drawings
