Senior Java Engineer – AI Agent Platform (Remote)

Salary: Up to RM15,000 + EPF, SOCSO & EIS
Location: Remote (Working arrangement: TBC)

Our client is a rapidly growing company in the iGaming industry, delivering innovative online gaming and entertainment solutions to international markets. They are looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to help build and enhance their next-generation AI Agent Platform, driving automation across software development and engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java backend applications and microservices.
• Build AI agent platforms that automate software development, testing, and project delivery.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with enterprise systems, databases, messaging platforms, and microservices.
• Create AI-driven solutions for code generation, automated testing, and development workflows.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, performance tuning, and security best practices.
• Optimize SQL queries, backend performance, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system performance.
• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and modern software engineering practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Java, OOP, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with JPA, MyBatis, JUnit, and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, or similar).
• Strong SQL development and database optimization skills.
• Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, ClickHouse, and other backend technologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

• AI-assisted development tools (e.g. AI coding assistants, code generation platforms, autonomous agents).
• AI-driven software engineering and automation workflows.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile development.
• Performance tuning, caching, messaging systems, and backend optimization.

Remuneration & Benefits
