Job Role: Software Development Lead (Angular + Symphony)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Lead technical design and implementation of CRM and Customer Web Portal modules using Angular and SuiteCRM/SymphonyCRM

Conduct detailed technical design sessions with the BA team to translate functional specifications into solution design documents and technical user stories

Manage and mentor a team of Senior Developers and Developers, conducting regular code reviews and technical coaching

Own sprint backlog for the CRM and Web Portal workstream including task breakdown, estimation, and sprint commitment

Develop and customise SuiteCRM modules, views, workflows, and relationship logic per client business requirements

Build reusable Angular components, services, and modules following component-driven architecture principles

Define and implement integration points between the CRM/Web Portal and the Billing System, AI Chatbot, and Omnichannel Hub via REST APIs

Ensure all frontend components meet performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility standards

Manage technical dependencies with the API Gateway team for secure data exchange and authentication flows

Participate in phase-gate technical reviews and produce deliverable sign-off documentation

Contribute to the test automation framework by providing unit test coverage targets and working with Test Leads on integration test scenarios

Manage technical handover and knowledge transfer documentation for client IT team post go-live.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Minimum 12 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a Development Lead or Tech Lead role
• Expert-level Angular (v12 and above) development skills including TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx state management, Angular Material, and component architecture
• Deep hands-on expertise in SuiteCRM and/or SymphonyCRM including custom module creation, Studio, Workflow module, and PHP customisation
• Strong RESTful API design and consumption skills
• experience with OAuth2/JWT authentication and API security
• Proven experience leading development teams through Agile/Scrum sprints
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and responsive design principles
• Proficiency in Git-based version control and branching strategies
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) and containerised deployments (Docker)
• Knowledge of MariaDB or MySQL database schema design and query optimisation
• CRM or customer portal implementation experience in utilities, telco, or government sector is strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills, particularly the ability to facilitate technical design workshops with cross-functional teams
