Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade firmware in C
• Develop and integrate communication stacks for NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, and LTE Cat-1 modules (e.g., Quectel, u-blox, Murata)
• Implement low-power optimization strategies including sleep modes, interrupt-driven architectures, and power profiling
• Write and maintain device drivers for peripherals such as I²C, SPI, UART, ADC, and RTC
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test procedures
• Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards across the firmware team
• Collaborate with hardware engineers during PCB bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers
• Document firmware architecture, APIs, and release notes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional embedded firmware development experience
• Strong proficiency in C programming for resource-constrained microcontrollers
• Familiar with Python language
• Solid understanding of at least one of the following wireless protocols: NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, LTE Cat-1
• Experience with RTOS environments (FreeRTOS preferred)
• Familiarity with version control using Git
• Strong debugging skills using JTAG/SWD interfaces and tools such as J-Link or ST-Link
• Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and datasheets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus

Pay: From $26,000.00 per month
