Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect / Technical Lead to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of mission-critical enterprise applications for the Defence sector. This role is responsible for driving enterprise architecture, technical governance, cloud-native modernization, AI-assisted software engineering, DevSecOps practices, and engineering excellence across large-scale government projects.
The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Java and/or Microsoft .NET technologies, modern cloud-native platforms, secure software engineering, AI-powered development tools, and enterprise solution architecture within highly regulated environments. You will lead high-performing engineering teams while ensuring scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable solutions that align with government engineering standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Architecture
- Define enterprise application architecture aligned with DSTA engineering standards.
- Design secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available enterprise solutions.
- Lead architecture reviews and technical governance activities.
- Produce High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), Architecture Decision Records (ADR), and technical roadmaps.
- Design API-first, Microservices, and Event-Driven architectures.
- Lead modernization initiatives for legacy enterprise systems.
- Ensure architecture compliance with government security and engineering standards.
Technical Leadership
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams of 10–30 developers.
- Establish software engineering standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
- Drive code quality through reviews, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and Senior Developers.
- Conduct architecture and design reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and production issues.
- Support Agile/Scrum delivery and technical planning.
AI-Assisted Software Engineering (Mandatory)

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 12–18+ years of enterprise software engineering experience.

- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions within government, defence, or highly regulated industries.
- Strong hands-on coding capability in Java and/or .NET (not purely managerial).
- Experience leading Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
