Job Description

• Ensure all steel bridge fabrication and erection works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct inspection of steel structures, including fit-up, welding, bolting, alignment, and installation.
• Verify incoming materials, mill certificates (MTC), and material traceability.
• Inspect welding activities and ensure compliance with approved WPS, PQR, and welding procedures.
• Coordinate NDT inspections (UT, MT, PT, RT) and review test reports.
• Monitor surface preparation, painting, and protective coating works in accordance with project specifications.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), checklists, and QA/QC reports.
• Coordinate inspections with the Client, Consultant, and Third-Party Inspector.
• Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and corrective actions.
• Ensure all fabrication and erection works comply with project quality standards and approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Fabrication Team, and Subcontractors to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of QA/QC experience in steel structure or steel bridge projects.
• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding inspection, bolting inspection, and coating inspection.
• Familiar with QA/QC documentation, ITP, WPS, PQR, MTC, and NDT reports.
• Able to read structural steel drawings and technical specifications.
• Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Willing to work at project sites.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
