About the Role

We are hiring an IT Manager for a PE-backed data centre platform, as they scale their footprint across APAC. Based on-site in Johor, you will help build out the dedicated on site tech function to support the organisation.

The Role

As the company's first dedicated IT hire, based full-time at their Johor site, you'll be the sole IT presence on the ground, owning everything from day-to-day corporate IT operations to setting up systems and processes from scratch as the site's headcount grows into the company's largest.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end corporate IT for the JB site: laptops, user accounts, network/Wi-Fi setup, security policies, and day-to-day IT support for all staff on-site
• Build IT infrastructure and processes from the ground up — this is a true 0-to-1 setup, not a maintain-what-exists role
• Manage relationships with external IT/technical vendors, including reviewing SLA performance and acting as the escalation point for issues
• Coordinate with the data centre's operations/facilities teams on IT-adjacent needs (site network drops, equipment access, onboarding technical staff)
• Support procurement and vendor contracts for IT services (internet lines, security software, hardware)
• Partner with Singapore HQ on company-wide IT standards and security compliance
• As the JB site scales, help shape and potentially lead a growing local IT function

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in corporate IT management — hands-on experience with Active Directory/M365, network administration, endpoint security, and vendor management
• Comfortable being the sole IT person on-site with no local IT peers — self-directed, resourceful, good judgment under ambiguity
• Experience working within a data centre or critical infrastructure environment strongly preferred — familiarity with SLA/uptime terminology, NOC coordination, or vendor governance in that context is a real advantage
• Based in or willing to relocate permanently to Johor
• Prior experience setting up IT from scratch (new office, new site, or fast-scaling environment) is a strong plus
• Strong communication skills — you'll be translating between technical vendors, ops teams, and non-technical stakeholders regularly
