Job Summary:
The Area Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing daily retail operations across assigned stores to ensure smooth store performance, achievement of sales targets, operational excellence, and high customer satisfaction. This role will drive retail strategies, manage store teams, improve operational processes, and ensure compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Retail Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of assigned retail outlets and ensure smooth store functioning.
- Ensure all stores comply with company policies, SOPs, operational standards, and brand guidelines.
- Conduct regular store visits and operational audits to identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor store performance and implement action plans to improve efficiency.
2. Sales Performance & Business Growth
- Drive achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) across retail outlets.
- Analyze sales performance, customer trends, and market feedback to develop improvement strategies.
- Support retail campaigns, promotions, and new product launches to maximize sales opportunities.
- Work closely with the Sales team to improve revenue growth and profitability.
3. Store Team Management
- Lead, coach, and motivate retail teams to achieve operational and sales objectives.
- Plan manpower requirements, staff scheduling, and workforce allocation.
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, training, and development support.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained.
4. Inventory & Store Management
- Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and product availability.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure effective stock replenishment.
- Reduce stock discrepancies, losses, and operational issues through proper controls.
- Ensure store displays and product merchandising meet company standards.
5. Customer Experience Management
- Ensure high standards of customer service across all retail outlets.
- Handle customer feedback and operational issues professionally.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and improve retail experience.
6. Reporting & Process Improvement
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, store operations, manpower, and improvement initiatives.
- Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions.
- Continuously improve retail processes and implement best practices.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Sales, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail operations, preferably with multi-store management experience.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good understanding of retail sales operations, inventory management, and customer service.
- Ability to analyze sales data and develop business improvement plans.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel between retail outlets when required.
