Job Summary

The Sales Engineer will assist in managing the sales process from lead generation through project handover while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Main office at Bandar Tasik Selatan, Kuala Lumpur

Key Responsiblities

Technical Sales Support

• Conduct site visits and technical assessments to evaluate project feasibility.
• Analyze electricity consumption and recommend suitable Solar PV solutions.
• Prepare preliminary system sizing, energy yield estimations, and financial analyses (ROI, payback period, electricity savings).
• Explain technical concepts and system performance to customers in a clear and professional manner.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and presentations.
• Ensure proposals comply with customer specifications and company standards.
• Ensure smooth handover of awarded projects to the Project Management team.

Business Development Support

• Assist the Business Development Manager in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for Solar PV projects.
• Support lead generation activities through networking, referrals, industry events, market research, and direct customer engagement.
• Participate in client meetings and site visits to understand customer energy requirements and business objectives.
• Assist in developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants, developers, contractors, and business partners.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely submission of proposals and smooth project handover after contract award.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in M&E Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 – 5 years’ of experience in technical sales, preferably in solar PV, electrical or M&E industries
• Good understanding of Solar PV systems and electrical fundamentals (solar inverters, mounting systems, batteries, and energy storage systems)
• Deep understanding of Malaysia’s renewable energy frameworks, eg Solar ATAP, SELCO, CRESS, green tax incentives etc
