Role Description The Software Developer Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Bayan Lepas. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of back-end and enterprise software solutions that support manufacturing and operational processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating business requirements into technical specifications, writing and reviewing clean, efficient code, and overseeing integration, testing, and deployment activities. The Software Developer Lead guides and mentors a development team, promotes best practices in software architecture and code quality, and collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance. The role also involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to technical documentation and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building robust, maintainable applications.
• Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and patterns.
• Experience leading or mentoring software development teams and coordinating technical projects.
• Familiarity with modern development tools and practices (version control, CI/CD, code review, automated testing).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial systems, or large-scale enterprise applications is an advantage.
