Job Summary

Join MIN HAWK PTE LTD as a Quantity Surveyor to manage financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports to ensure accurate project financial management
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and control costs
  • Measure and value construction work, including variations and claims, to maintain accurate project cost records
  • Advise on procurement strategies and assist with tendering processes to optimize project sourcing
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to mitigate risks
  • Provide expert advice and support to project teams to enhance financial decision-making and project outcomes

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Proficient in quantity surveying software and data analysis tools to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project controls to manage project finances effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail to identify and resolve financial issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams
  • Familiarity with the local construction industry and regulations to ensure compliance
