Job Summary:
The Sales Supervisor (Logistics) is responsible for managing logistics sales operations, developing new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The role requires at least 4 years of experience in logistics sales, freight forwarding, transportation, or supply chain services, with strong knowledge of customer acquisition and logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise logistics sales activities to achieve company revenue and business growth targets.
- Lead, guide, and motivate sales team members to meet monthly and annual sales objectives.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for logistics services, including freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, and supply chain solutions.
- Identify and acquire new customers through market research, networking, and business development activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Understand customers’ logistics requirements and recommend suitable service solutions.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and support contract discussions with clients.
- Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and transport teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor shipment performance and resolve customer service issues promptly.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for management review.
- Train and support sales staff on logistics services, sales techniques, and customer management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and logistics industry standards.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics sales, freight forwarding, transportation, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in developing customer accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, shipping documentation, and customer service requirements.
- Good negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage sales pipelines and build long-term client relationships.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management abilities.
