Liaises with the Project Engineer and functional link to the Project Manager
Manage the day-to-day Project QA/QC Team activities and co-ordinate with relevant parties to ensure that the Project Pre-Qualification activities are executed on schedule, in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and in accordance to Project and Clients’ Requirements;
Co-ordinating with field supervisors and Lead Engineers in relation to Quality related tasks;
Acts on the approved ITP for the Project and follow up on the Inspection Requirements;
Witnessing non-destructive examinations, interpretation of RT films and review NDE results;
Attends to Off-Site field inspection of Pre-Fabrication of Piping Spools, Blasting & Painting of components & Manufacturing of Pressure Vessels;
Audits approved Welding WPS and its related variables for full compliance;
Surveillance to ensure that the Project Piping Quality/Equipment and documentation are maintained to-date;
Reports Quality related Site Observation Report (SOR), Engineering Observation Report (EOR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) from Clients’ to Project Quality Manager and assist with close out where appropriate;
Monthly reporting on Project Quality progress activities to Project Quality Manager
Proactively engages on field quality with the objective of “Right the First Time” reducing final punch list (quantities / severities).
Executes Quality-related SOP/ Plans/ Reports as scheduled
Implementation of Mock-up System in Key Project activities
Participates in peer review of main contractors /subcontractors QP, ITP & associated procedures
Prepare and report construction inspection reports/test packs to Clients’ Quality Department
Supports corporate Clients’ QA and Validation Team to implement project procedures and ensure compliance to Quality Management System;
Align with the other main project success criteria (EHS, Cost, Schedule);
Review project specifications with the Engineering Team on technical content / appropriateness / fit for purpose;
Assist in final testing & commissioning, punch-listing, test pack, O&M and handover activities.
