Job Title: Data Engineer (SQL / Cloud Data Platforms)
Location: Singapore
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Renewable)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to support and enhance enterprise data pipelines, reporting workflows, and data integration processes.

This role involves working with existing ETL pipelines and operational data systems while contributing to the team’s transition toward modern cloud-based data platforms and technologies. The ideal candidate is strong in SQL, data engineering fundamentals, troubleshooting, and data quality, with an interesting modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or cloud-based analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support data pipelines and ETL workflows across multiple systems
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline, ETL, and reporting issues in production environments
• Maintain and support existing SSIS workflows and related data processes
• Integrate data from various sources including databases, flat files, APIs, and cloud platforms
• Support reporting, analytics, and operational data requirements
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions
• Contribute to ongoing modernization initiatives involving cloud-based and next-generation data platforms

Requirements

Must-Have:

• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, or related roles
• Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, stored procedures, data transformation, performance tuning)
• Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data workflows
• Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and data quality processes
• Experience troubleshooting production data and reporting issues
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment

Good-to-Have:

• Experience with SSIS or similar ETL tools
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse, or similar technologies
• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or other reporting tools
• Experience with Python or scripting for automation
• Exposure to financial services, enterprise systems, or operational data environments
