About the role
This full-time role of Export Operation Manager at ECU Worldwide (Hong Kong) Limited in Central and Western District offers an exciting opportunity to lead the operations team and drive the success of the company's freight/cargo forwarding business. As the Export Operation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods to customers.
What you'll be doing
Build and maintain the good relationships with carriers and co-loaders
Monitor contract usage and performance review on each contracts
Follow up space issues or any other disputes with carriers and co-loaders
Update the market intelligence on vessel utilization, market research
Keep daily contact with Sales team and Branch for business opportunities
Generate the monthly report and assist in ad-hoc project assigned by management
Design and implement sustainable commercial strategies to retain existing customers and capture new business
Manage carrier relationships: handle rate queries, negotiate FAK/NAC terms and resolve space/dispute issues with carriers and internal stakeholders
Produce periodic trade and performance reports and prepare presentation materials for carrier review and internal stakeholders
Requirement
Minimum 5 years of experience in freight/cargo forwarding operations, preferably in a managerial role
Thorough understanding of export and import processes, customs regulations, and logistics management
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle complex operational challenges
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with customers and stakeholders
Proficient in using relevant logistics and freight management software
Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve operational excellence
Fluency in English and Cantonese, with Mandarin language skills being an advantage
