Job Purpose

Execute Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) operations, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair activities in accordance with approved standards, procedures, and HSE requirements to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations.


Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity and effective implementation of the Permit to Work (PTW) system from an Electrical & Instrumentation perspective.
  • Assist in managing emergency situations and perform nominated duties as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
  • Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment (HSE).
  • Support operations to consistently achieve ≥95% equipment uptime.
  • Participate in periodic plant operational integrity and safety tests, including lifeboats, firewater pumps, safety systems, LSA, and helideck operations.
  • Lead and perform duties related to operation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of E&I units, systems, and tools.
  • Ensure all mandatory training and competency requirements for an E&I Technician are satisfactorily completed and maintained.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures and standard work instructions.
  • Operate all equipment under normal conditions in accordance with the approved Operating Philosophy Manual (OPM) and procedures.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain Power Generation Systems, motors, electrical appliances, HVAC, UPS, PMCS, WIM, and other associated Electrical & Instrumentation equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the WIM Supervisor.
  • Lead execution of planned maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, inspection, repair, and overhaul activities for E&I plants, equipment, and systems.
  • Maintain professional attitude and appearance to enhance the company’s image and promote positive client relations.
  • Follow instructions in all aspects of work for which appropriate training has been provided.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to observe maintenance activities and continuously improve E&I technical skills.
  • Provide assistance, guidance, and on-the-job training to new operators and subordinates.
  • Report all malfunctions or suspected issues promptly to the supervisor and keep them informed at all times.
  • Manage E&I spare parts inventory and identify spare parts required to support operations.
  • Ensure availability of all critical spare parts onboard to support Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • Uphold the highest standards of HSE and Quality, and promote UZMA WAY, particularly with respect to integrity.
  • Provide vision and leadership for all crew.
  • Support execution of strategies to achieve business and operational targets.
  • Build strong working relationships and deliver commitments to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop competencies and capabilities of subordinates through coaching and mentoring.
  • Achieve asset uptime in line with budgeted and approved targets.
  • Ensure assets remain compliant with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead execution of E&I maintenance plans in accordance with the approved Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
  • Supervise inspection, maintenance, and servicing of facility equipment and associated E&I systems.
  • Attend and actively participate in HSE and safety meetings (e.g. LOCSHEC, PGI).
  • Ensure crews comply with approved operational and safety procedures for safe and efficient operations.
  • Maintain accurate equipment records, logbooks, and operational documentation.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual maintenance budget.
  • Ensure full QHSE compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, client, and company requirements.


Job Requirements

  • Possess a recognised Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years of offshore experience in production operations and maintenance, preferably in an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) role.
  • Hold a valid Offshore Medical Certificate, BOSIET, and other relevant offshore certifications.
  • Possession of a Marine Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) Certificate of Competency, in accordance with STCW standards, will be an added advantage.
