Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems, including main switchboards, distribution boards, control panels, and related equipment.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on generator sets, synchronizing panels, electrical distribution systems, and farm electrical infrastructure.
Inspect and maintain overhead power lines and underground cable networks to ensure reliable electrical distribution across the farm.
Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical farm facilities, including:
Greenhouse ventilation and cooling systems
Fertigation pumps and irrigation controllers
Lighting, misting, and shading automation systems
Cold storage facilities and reefer containers
Coordinate with TNB, contractors, and relevant authorities on power supply, load management, scheduled outages, system upgrades, and technical inspections.
Perform routine inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure operational reliability and compliance with safety standards.
Supervise electrical contractors and technicians, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with approved safety procedures and industry best practices.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logbooks, inspection reports, and documentation required by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including Energy Commission (ST), OSHA, and TNB regulations.
Respond promptly to electrical faults, emergencies, and power disruptions, implementing effective corrective actions to minimize operational downtime.
Support internal and external audits, electrical safety inspections, and energy management initiatives.
Collaborate with farm operations during maintenance activities, infrastructure upgrades, and planned shutdowns to minimize disruption to daily operations.
Monitor electricity consumption and recommend energy efficiency improvements, system optimization, and cost-saving initiatives.
Mentor and guide junior technicians by promoting safe work practices, technical competency, and operational excellence.
